Fred     has     over     40     years     experience     in     physical     materials characterisation   with   special   interests   and   particular   expertise   in carbons and graphites, catalysis and ceramics

Dr Darren Lapham CChem MRSC - Operations Manager Darren    has    a    Ph.D    in    physical    chemistry    (semi-conductor    sensor technology)   with   further   post   doctoral   research   in   lithium-ion   batteries (London / EU). and sensor technology (Cambridge). With   over   20   years   experience   in   physical   materials   characterisation, Darren    has    special    interests    and    expertise    in    applications    of pharmaceuticals, battery technology and geological samples.

Analytical Services and Consultancy MCA   Services   was   founded   in   1978   as   a   laboratory-based   consultancy   specialising   in   surface   area,   porosimetry   and   porosity   measurement contract   analysis.   This   has   since   expanded   to   include   chemisorption,   density   measurements   and   temperature   programmed   analyses.   Our   fully- equipped   laboratories   are   based   15   miles   from   Cambridge,   UK   and   house   the   latest   state-of-the-art   analytical   equipment   for   the   provision   of analytical   services   to   a   wide   variety   of   clients,   both   in   the   UK   and   abroad.     We   routinely   offer   assistance   with   interpretation   of   results,   often   at no   additional   charge.   Our   staff   can   draw   on   extensive   experience   of   a   wide   range   of   materials   and   sectors   to   relate   material   properties   to specific applications.
